A batch of cold Fall air is sweeping out of Canada and across the northern tier of states today. It will settle as far south as the Colorado and Kansas borders tomorrow and then retreat to the north Sunday, but not before giving parts of eastern Montana, much of North Dakota and northern Minnesota a touch of freezing temperatures.

There are a lot of clouds associated with the push of colder air but not a lot of rain. There will be few light showers and some drizzle Saturday, but nothing heavy. Temperatures late this afternoon will range from about 50 at Buffalo and Lemmon to 83 at Casper and Scottsbluff.  Temperatures tomorrow will be mainly in the 50s for highs; Edgemont and Ardmore may see highs around 60 or the low 60s.
Sunday will be warmer with temperatures back into the 60s and 70s.

Readings Sunday will still reach into the 90s across the Desert Southwest and much of the southern Plains and Southeast.
