The sun will be out and temperatures will swing up to 80 today but a strong cold front is coming towards us from Canada.
The front is north of the cloud area on this morning satellite image. There are some clouds just off to our west, too, that will fade the sun a little bit. The cold front will be along the South Dakota- North Dakota border tomorrow morning and extend westward across southern Montana. By Saturday morning the front will be over northern Nebraska and loop to the northwest over western Montana. There will be a lot of cloud cover, areas of drizzle and very light showers along and just north of the front.
The tropics continue to be active with the very large hurricane Igor at center stage. Igor will wind up near Bermuda Monday. Hurricane Julia is east of Igor and will move to the northwest, just east of Igor.
Tropical storm Karl is in the Bay of Campeche and will track across Tampico. The storm will cross over to the Pacific early next week.
